The White Sulphur & Coffee Creek Railroad is a fictitious narrow gauge On30 model railroad. The WS&CC Railroad operates in the Highwood and Little Belt Mountains of Central Montana where the parent company White Sulphur & Coffee Creek Industries conducts logging and mining operations. Additional online customers include livestock and grain movements to transload facilities with the Chicago, Milwaukee, & St. Paul in Harlowton, MT, the Great Northern in Belt, Mt., and the steam boats which service Ft Benton, Mt on the Missouri River. The WS&CC also has a thriving passenger service connecting White Sulphur, Harlowton, Coffee Creek, to the river port in Ft. Benton, and all towns in between.
My original plan is to build the layout with White Sulphur Springs, Montana to Coffee Creek. A sawmill will be located near White Sulphur Springs while a smelter will be located Near Monarch, Montana. On the layout, a line will venture through the high plains of Central Montana to Coffee Creek. Passenger depots will be located at both White Sulphur Springs and Coffee Creek. Several “Whistle Stops” will be located between to shuttle workers into and out of the logging operations.
Eventually I would like to build the line from Coffee Creek to Fort Benton. In Fort Benton there will be opportunity to incorporate a steam boat operation on the Missouri River.
I’m just getting this started in December of 2015. I hope to start building benchwork in January 2016. Updates will be posted as things progress.
